I have been busy this month creating, but not sharing much. It's just the way the deadlines and reveal dates went. So for the next few days/weeks, I'll have plenty to share!
The first kit I was assigned to design with for Two Scrapbook Friends is So Happy Together by Echo Park. I'm going to split my reveal into 2 or 3 posts, so that it isn't too photo heavy.
These bright, cheery colours and fun patterns just make my heart zing!
The theme is versatile, working well for family photos, travel especially in a camper, and anything related to home, including moving into a new home, or recalling an old home.
I especially enjoy that Echo Park included solids in this collection that coordinate perfectly with the other colours.
Of course, the So Happy Together collection includes super fun sticker sheets and coordinated alphabet sheets, too
Here's the first layout I made with this collection:
At least 2 of the sheets in this collection are frames with corner details, which is a challenge for many scrapbookers who don't just want to glue on a photo and be done. On this layout, I trimmed the frame off and stitched the remaining page onto a sheet of white cardstock that I bespeckled with coordinating watercolour paint colours.
To accentuate the corner details on the paper, I partially cut into them with a swivel knife and popped them up, allowing them to frame my photo. For my title, I combined some of the stickers in the kit with some words I cut using the Silhouette.
I turned some more stickers into flags or pennants by layering them onto pins and curving them for dimension. Perhaps you can see that I misted onto the woodgrain paper - it was originally a tan paper with white woodgrain and I misted with dark mist to punch it up the texture more. One of my favourite sheets in the collection is this pattern with the small hexagons. I fussy cut it to create a fun border strip.
Some twine and sequins layered over the artwork further plays up these corner details.
I'll be back with a few more So Happy Together projects, along with some other projects.
