Have you checked out all the sweet products in theFebruary 2013 Kit yet? Cute Fancy Pants papers from the "Love Notes" collection combine with Imaginisce "Love You More" to provide a wonderful vehicle for you to create all kinds of projects, not just for Valentine's Day.
The first thing I created was this canvas, using 2 of the Fancy Pants papers and a lot of embellishments. The canvas is 8 x 8" and I really played here:
Do you recognize the accordion heart from my tutorial last week? It became a cornerstone of this canvas.
I made liberal use of the bottle of pink Perfect Pearls included with the kit to embellish on all my projects. Here you see that I painted with it on the Pink Paislee embossed circle frame and on the Maya Road chipboard word.
I lightly tinted the background paper with a watercolour wash using gelatos, and then I flipped the Queen & Co black scroll felt border strip (main kit) upside down and used it as a stencil to lightly brush some gesso on. Pink Paislee hearts perfect pearls dots further embellish the upper corner.
I love how Fancy Pants even includes a bit of graphic on the bar code strip so I cut it out and layered it over some FP Love Note Tape Stickers.
For my second project, I created a layout about my daughter working her summer job at my friend's home daycare. They did a theme week where every day of the week was about a different holiday/occasion, and lucky for me, they included Valentine's Day.
I used the Elephant Ears cardstock as my base and placed a template over it to paint through with the pink perfect pearls - I love how this came out!
There's the black felt scroll border, cut up to add to the cluster.
